PMD – STREET FURNITURE PROGRAM

The City of Boston is requesting input from the Out of Home, Digital, Wireless, Design, and financial industries on best industry practices in designing, manufacturing, deploying, funding, maintaining and operating street furniture elements that support transit, shared ride and active transportation, vibrant neighborhood activity, grow retail activity, and foster economic development. The city is seeking to gain insight, opinions and recommendations that will inform the development of a new street furniture program. 

The City will consider information obtained through this RFI in its development of a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to be released in 2026 as further described in the specifications which will be available on or about August 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through the City of Boston Supplier Portal at https://procurement.boston.gov/psupplierportal Event ID EV00016321 or electronically by emailing pmdbidinfo@boston.gov.

A site conference call with google meet is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 2:00pm.

All responses shall be filed with the Awarding Authority before 12:00 p.m. (twelve o'clock) on August 25, 2025.
