Elicia Flemming
Elicia Flemming is a results-driven professional with a diverse background in outreach and communications, who maintains a strong track record of exceeding goals and building meaningful relationships.
In her current role as the Senior Manager of Outreach and Engagement at the Office for Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO), Elicia oversees the implementation of engagement strategies, outreach events, and multi-channel communications campaigns that connect constituents to workforce and career readiness opportunities. In her role, she also supports a portfolio of over 150 mission-driven partner agencies who maintain a commitment to employing and developing Boston’s youth.
Prior to her role at YEO, Elicia facilitated the launch of a national fellowship program for higher education and postsecondary career and technical education administrators at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. At Harvard, she advanced the development and execution of fellowship programming, managed program recruitment strategies, and designed and administered programmatic surveys to optimize program satisfaction. Previously, Elicia served as a Marketing and Events Associate at LearnLaunch, where she leveraged her outreach and communications expertise to manage the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and industry events to an audience of over 9,000 education technology entrepreneurs, investors, educators, and education policy stakeholders.
Elicia is a contributor to "Strategic Data Use in Higher Education: Improving Postsecondary Success with Data", a working paper released by the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University (June 2020). She is also a student editor in The Argument Toolbox (February 2022), a textbook published by Broadview Press.
Elicia is a dedicated professional who brings her strategic mindset, commitment to community, and passion for education to every role she undertakes. She is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Education Policy & Analysis at Harvard Graduate School of Education, with expected graduation in May 2024. She holds a BA in Psychology, with a self-designed Urban Education minor from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new music, attending local concerts, and experimenting with new recipes.
