Director of Planning and Grantmaking

The Director of Planning and Grantmaking is responsible for assessing community needs and service gaps, program planning, funding prioritization, strategic partnership development, and capacity-building across Boston's aging services network.

Nutrition Manager

The Nutrition Manager is responsible for managing the senior nutrition program, which includes program and fiscal monitoring.  Incumbent will work collaboratively with community and government partners to promote best practices for the nutrition services program and elevate elder nutrition issues.

Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator develops and implements marketing activities to increase Age Strong’s visibility assisting with partnership cultivation, sponsorship, and grant writing, as well as nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partners.

Event and Program Coordinator

The Event and Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Commission’s events and programs.   Responsibilities may include implementing new events and programs, recruitment and engagement efforts, relationship building with older adults, instructors, vendors, partners, etc. The position is also responsible for managing program database and related data.

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will support the administration, planning, strategic, and operational activities for the Department.

Volunteer Program Coordinator

The Volunteer Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Commission’s volunteer program goals including: volunteer recruitment, volunteer orientation, and volunteer station monitoring.  This position is responsible for the coordination of an outreach plan to better engage a wide array of older adults in volunteer opportunities.  The position is also responsible for managing volunteer timesheets and maintaining a volunteer database.

AGe Friendly Coordinator

The Age Friendly Coordinator will work closely with the Director in the implementation of the Age-Friendly Boston initiative.  Responsibilities include outlining policy and program initiatives, managing new partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally, developing and coordinating outreach plans, overseeing specific projects, managing program participants and collaborators, volunteer recruitment, preparing outreach materials and conducting presentations.

Housing Specialist

Housing Specialists are responsible for providing housing services to Boston's older adults, which include advocating on behalf of older adults in housing court, responding to emergency housing situations, shelter placement, conducting housing search, placement and processing applications, monitoring safety conditions, advocating for programs and services, preparing statistical reports and records, and performing related duties.

ADvocacy & Benefits Specialist

Advocacy & Benefits Specialists are responsible for providing advocacy services to older adults, which may include providing information and referral, processing benefit applications, conducting home visits, preparing reports, selling taxi coupons, monitoring follow-ups, and performing related duties.

Driver

The Age Strong Shuttle Driver provides door-to-door transportation service to Boston’s older adults.  The Driver is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and safe transit to passengers while following traffic laws, and pre-scheduled routes.
