BCYF Curtis Hall Pool Repairs
BCYF Curtis Hall pool will be closing soon for an expected year-long repair project. The last day of open operations will be Friday, June 26. Curtis Hall members can swim free at any of our pools. You can find additional BCYF pool locations by visiting Boston.gov/BCYF-Aquatics. Information about local splash pads can be found here. You can also locate additional swimming pools, wading pools, and spray deck locations under the Department of Conservation and Recreation here.
The extensive scope of work to Curtis Hall pool includes:
- HVAC Upgrades: Replacing de-humidification and HVAC systems in both the pool area and locker rooms.
- Flooring & Structure: Repairing and replacing the pool deck and lobby flooring (near the elevator and lifeguard office), minor wall repairs, and a partial roof replacement.
- Amenities & Fixtures: Replacing benches on the pool deck, updating locker room fixtures (mirrors, shower faucets, soap dispensers, etc.), and minor painting.
