Boston Child Health Study
The Boston Child Health Study is a three-part study in collaboration with Boston Children's Hospital. It provides comprehensive data on child health status, healthcare use, and quality of life. It also tracks the relationship between environment and child health.
The Boston Child Health Study includes:
- A random digit-dial phone survey of 2,100 Boston parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 17 years. It provides data on a range of child health issues from the parent perspective.
- Using a child health lens for an environmental assessment of Boston neighborhoods using citywide geographic information data.
- An analysis of Medicaid claims data for children ages 0 to 17. Identifying child health issues by zip code, and trends in healthcare use.
