The Immigrant Youth Advancement (IYA) Summer 2026 Grant is now closed! If your nonprofit organization is interested in applying for the Summer 2027 IYA grant to provide work-experience opportunities for immigrant youth in Boston, please complete this interest form.
The Summer 2027 IYA program grant will be launched in January 2027. Eligible youth should fill out the interest form. Youth who complete the interest form will be notified via email in May 2026 with step-by-step instructions for applying for work experience opportunities on the futureBOS site. Acceptance into the program is at the discretion of each nonprofit organization; participation is not guaranteed.

About
Through this program, Boston’s diverse immigrant students are paired with immigrant-serving nonprofits across the City to gain:
- hands-on experience
- acquire life skills, and
- earn a scholarship towards their professional development as community leaders.
The Immigrant Youth Advancement Program is a partnership between:
- The work-experience opportunity is for youth between 14 and 24 years old
- Summer participants complete 20 hours a week for 6 weeks
- Participants receive a biweekly scholarship for their time in the program
