WHOLESALE ELECTRICITY SUPPLIER PREQUALIFICATION

The City of Boston, acting by the Environment Department, 1 City Hall Square, Room 709, Boston, MA 02201, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites Information Statements for the project listed above. The Wholesale Supplier will provide the following necessary services and administrative support:

 

  1. Assumption of all responsibilities pursuant to ISO New England market rules and manuals as Load Asset Owner with Ownership Share of Load Assets created by the Administrative Services Provider specifically for the Program, where a percentage share of corresponding load obligations will be assigned to one or more wholesale energy suppliers as Asset Owners, such that the sum of the shares equals one hundred percent
  2. Responsibility for the load obligation and associated ISO New England financial assurance obligations
  3. Procure and manage renewable energy credits or other instruments necessary to meet its share of the Program’s Renewable and Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards, the Clean Energy Standard, and the Clean Peak Energy Standards
  4. Pay to the Administrative Services Provider, as necessary, any alternative compliance payments.

  Information Statements will be solicited from vendors through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal: boston.gov/departments/procurement

All Information Statements for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: Wholesale Electricity Supplier Prequalification.

Information Statements may be submitted as early as February 17, 2025, but shall be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M., Boston time, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, and opened forthwith.
