RENTAL AND COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT FUNDING
The City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH), The Neighborhood Housing Trust (NHT) and the Community Preservation Act (CPA) are issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide access to $40 million dollars of HOME, CDBG, Housing Boston 2030, Inclusionary Development Policy Funds, Neighborhood Housing and Community Preservation Funding. Approximately $36 million dollars of resources will support qualified proposals from non-profit and for-profit developers of affordable rental and cooperative developments. An additional $4 million dollars of funding is available specifically for supportive housing for homeless and/or aging populations, bringing the total availability of funds to $40 million.
There will be an Applicants Conference on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interested applicants may register at https://tinyurl.com/26ankmt8.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent by Friday, August 22, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. The Letter of Intent should specify the required information as instructed in the RFP. The Letter should be emailed to the attention of Christine O’Keefe. Prospective applicants are also strongly encouraged to contact MOH staff to discuss their individual project before submitting a full proposal.
The RFP application package will be available beginning Monday, August 4, 2025 and can be downloaded by registering at boston.gov/departments/housing/requests-proposals. Completed proposal applications must be submitted as instructed and returned directly to the MOH, 12 Channel Street, Boston, MA, 9th Floor by Friday, September 19, 2025 no later than 4:00 pm.
