ENERGY PROCUREMENT AND BILL RECONCILIATION SERVICES

The City of Boston, acting by the Environment Department, 1 City Hall Square, Room 709, Boston, MA 02201, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites proposals for the project listed above. The successful respondent will provide energy consulting and advisory services in connection with the procurement of the City’s municipal electricity, natural gas, steam, and renewable energy requirements; the reconciliation of monthly supply bills received from the City’s energy providers; the preparation and delivery of quarterly financial performance reports for the City’s energy contracts;  energy consulting and advisory services to assist with the maximization of demand and capacity charge savings and demand response and other revenues in connection with the City’s procurement of battery storage and related management services; assisting the City in renegotiating steam contract(s); and provide energy market guidance and consulting services to position the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO) team to take advantage of market opportunities and navigate market challenges.

Proposals will be solicited from vendors through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal: boston.gov/departments/procurement. The request for proposal will be live on September 22, 2025, at 10:00am.

All proposals for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: Energy Procurement and Bill Reconciliation Services.

Proposals shall be submitted before 2:00 P.M., Boston time, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 and opened forthwith.
