VOTE 1: James McQueen, Senior Project Manager
Amendment to the vote of September 22, 2017: Regarding a contract with Perkins Eastman Architects, D.P.C. to conduct a feasibility study and prepare a schematic design for the Boston Arts Academy project.
Increase of $10,587,437 and Time Extension
That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of June 15, 2016 and, thereafter, amended by a vote for additional services on September 22, 2017 regarding a contract with Perkins Eastman Architects, D.P.C. to conduct a feasibility study and prepare a schematic design for the Boston Arts Academy project located at 174 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA:
be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
By deleting the following words and figures: “October 31, 2018, at a cost not to exceed $1,480,000, including $530,000 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 1.4% based on an estimated construction cost of $68,500,000” and substituting in place thereof the following figures: “December 31, 2021, at a cost not to exceed $12,067,437, including $2,655,613 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 9.8% based on an estimated construction cost of $95,976,807.”
The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission whose approval is pre-conditioned upon the Massachusetts School Building Authority Board's vote of approval on the Project's schematic design and funding agreement, and the Boston City Council's vote of approval for the Project's funding agreement, and the Mayor's subsequent approval of the same.

Increase of $3,604,079 and Time Extension
That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of March 16, 2016 and, thereafter, amended by PFD’s Director under a delegation of authority to increase the additional services and for a contract time extension on September 18, 2017, and further amended by a vote for additional services on September 22, 2017 regarding a contract with PMA Consultants, LLC to provide owner project manager services associated with the Boston Arts Academy project located at 174 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA:
be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
By deleting the following words and figures: “May 31, 2018 at a cost not to exceed $575,000, including $98,969 for additional services” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “December 31, 2021, at a cost not to exceed $4,179,079, including $873,969 for additional services.”
The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission whose approval is pre-conditioned upon the Massachusetts School Building Authority Board's vote of approval on the Project's schematic design and funding agreement, and the Boston City Council's vote of approval for the Project's funding agreement, and the Mayor's subsequent approval of the same.
