City Council Committee on Healthy Women, Families and Communities Hearing on Dockets #1375 and #1376

A hearing on a grant to fund a comprehensive and coordinated health and social service system which assists elders to maintain independent living in their own communities; and a grant to fund administrative expenses of the Elderly Commission Area Agency on Aging, respectively. The Chair of the Committee is Councilor Pressley and these matters were sponsored by the Mayor.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Two Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Eleven Dollars and Sixty Cents ($1,257,011.60) in the form of a grant, FFY18 Title III-B: Supportive Services, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, pass through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Elderly Commission. The grant will fund a comprehensive and coordinated health and social service system, which assist elders to maintain independent living in their own communities as long as desired.

($474,233.75) for the FFY18 Title III-A Area Plan Administration, awarded by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Elderly Commission. The grant would fund administrative expenses of the Elderly Commission Area Agency on Aging

    These mattes were sponsored by the Mayor, and referred to the Committee on October 25, 2017.
