New slide designs

SLIDE UPDATE:

As you may have heard, there are several community members who had concerns regarding the

type of slide on the larger children's play structure.  Boston Parks heard your concern.

Although this slide meets all safety requirements and presents good challenge for children,

we worked with the playground manufacturer to see what options were available for switching

out this element of the structure.

Unfortunately, there is no slide switch out available for the main structure, even with all

customized options explored.  However, we have what we think is a good solution!

We will be switching out the "bar slide" with a net climber entry to the structure.  In

addition, we will be adding a slide and some rope pulls as slope play on the hill.  We

hope this will alleviate the concerns raised by the community and provide additional

play value to the park.

The standard lead time for ordering play equipment is 10-12 weeks.

We know the community would like a swap sooner, but we are excited to be

able to make this change later this fall.  Please see the graphic above for the new play upgrades.
