Boston MBTA Shutdowns 2026

Feb 14-16.

Orange Line service will be suspended between Jackson Square and Forest Hills on February 14-16 for signal upgrade work.

  • Accessible shuttle bus service will make all stops between Jackson Square and Forest Hills. Riders using shuttle buses during this service change should budget 20 minutes of additional travel time.
  • Alternatively, fare free Commuter Rail service between Forest Hills, Ruggles, Back Bay, and South Station will be available on the Franklin/Foxboro, Needham, and Providence/Stoughton Lines. The trip between Forest Hills and Back Bay on the Commuter Rail is approximately 10 minutes. Regular fares will apply to travel beyond Forest Hills.

Diversion extents between Jackson Square and Forest Hills.

 

Feb 28-Mar 8.
