Kendra Beaver
Kendra Beaver is the Climate Justice Coordinator for the Fairmount Indigo CDC Collaborative (FICC), an umbrella organization made up of three CDCs united by the Fairmount Commuter Line in Boston: Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation, Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, and Southwest Boston Community Development Corporation. Kendra has been in this role since 2021, overseeing the climate justice and health equity policy advocacy and community organizing that FICC collaborates on with community members, partner organizations, and other CDC staff. Kendra grew up in Danbury, Connecticut and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a minor in Political Science from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining FICC, she worked in philanthropy, urban agriculture, sustainability in higher education, regional government, and watershed conservation. Kendra is a proud resident of the Dorchester, where she has lived since moving to Boston in 2020 and where served on the board as Secretary of the St. Marks Area Civic Association for two years. Kendra is also a member-owner of the Dorchester Food Co-op, a board member of the Boston Community Solar Cooperative, and a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts program.
