Publisher's Poetry Slam

Ten poets will be selected to compete at the Roxbury Poetry Festival in the Publisher’s Poetry Slam. The winning poet will have a chapbook published by Button Poetry!

To participate, submit your manuscript for consideration. Poets are to perform original work without the use of props, costumes or musical accompaniment. Poets should remain within the time limit designated for each round.

Submissions close on June 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Selected poets will be notified by June 16, 2026.

Boston Urban Wilds: Celebrating 50 Years of Conservation and Community is now on view at the Mayor's Neighborhood Gallery (2nd floor) in Boston City Hall. Through photographs by Lisa McCarty, this exhibition highlights unique environments that have been protected by the Boston Urban Wilds program, as well as the people who care for and commune with these wilds.
