Join Mayor Walsh, the Boston Transportation Department, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to celebrate the first Bluebikes stations in Mattapan! You can take a free ride to try out our new bikes and take home fun Bluebikes gear. We will unveil a new bike, designed by the youth at Artists for Humanity, that celebrates Mattapan.

Neighborhood Coffee Hours give residents a unique opportunity to speak directly with Mayor Walsh and staff from City departments.

Bike along a car-free Storrow Drive and across the Emerald Necklace on a 40-mile journey through Boston's unique neighborhoods. You can also choose to take our more family-friendly and beginner 10-mile ride. Both courses start and finish on City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston.

A portion of your registration fee will benefit Boston Children's Hospital, but consider becoming a Hope Rider (or creating your own bike team!) to help raise even more funds to support cancer research.

The Madonna Della Cava Feast opens at 7 p.m. on Friday and stays open from 12 p.m. (noon) - 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Madonna Della Cava Procession takes place at 1 p.m. on Sunday on Hanover Street and Battery Street.

The Santa Rosalia di Palermo Procession begins in North Square. The procession is hosted by the Santa Rosalia Di Palermo Society, which formed in 1939.

St. Anthony's Feast takes place on Endicott Street, Thacher Street, and N. Margin Street. The feasts opens at 7 p.m. on Friday and stays open 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. St. Lucy's Feast starts at Thacher Street and Endicott Street in Boston's North End. The feast opens with a blessing of Statue of Santa Lucia and devotees. Then, in a solemn procession, the Statue of Santa Lucia is carried through the streets of the North End accompanied by Italian street bands, flower girls, and color guard.

Fisherman’s Feast of the Madonna Del Soccorso di Sciacca is Boston's oldest continuous festival.

Event highlights include:

• Friday, August 17: Feast opens at 6 p.m.
• Saturday, August 18 and Sunday, August 19: Feast continues from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day
• Sunday, August 19: Grand Procession starts at 1 p.m.
• Sunday, August 19: Flight of the Angel Fleet display on Lewis Street and North Street
