Paint rocks with kind messages for our new Kindness Rock Garden and drop off baby wipes, diapers, canned/non-perishable food items and new clothing to benefit families working with the Family Nurturing Center and ABCD’s Allston Brighton Neighborhood Opportunity Center, two organizations based at PSF Community Center. Donations will also be collected in the lobby of PSF Community Center from 4/1 - 4/8.

We will also have yellow and blue balloons available to inscribe a message of Hope, Love and Forgiveness to be released to the universe. We will also prepare a meal of turkey with all of the fixings and bring to our local fire department Ladder 14/Engine 41 in gratitude of their selfless giving. This event will be presented by staff and members of our local teen program and our adult basic education program (ESOL).

Cradles to Crayons will place donation bins at businesses throughout the Main Streets district and collect the shoes following One Boston Day. West Roxbury Main Streets will conduct outreach among businesses and individuals.

To honor this year’s One Boston Day and the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings, the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation is hosting a series of activities on City Hall Plaza. Aligning with One Boston Day’s theme of giving acts of kindness, the Stepping Strong Center is hosting a blood drive in partnership with the Massachusetts General Hospital Blood Donor Center, as well as conducting demonstrations to teach bystanders how to help someone suffering from traumatic blood loss.

As part of the City of Boston's One Boston Day celebration, SPARK Boston and the Mayor's Office are inviting Bostonians to come and make signs in support of the 2023 Boston Marathon Runners on Saturday, April 15. Snacks and sign making materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your friends, creative ideas, and any additional supplies you'd like to use to decorate your sign. We can't wait to share community and words of encouragement with you!

The Mayor’s Youth Council and Office of Civic Organizing invite you to join us for a day of action at Franklin Park in honor of One Boston Day. Groups will meet at the Franklin Park Playstead and work in groups to help beautify Boston’s largest greenspace.
