Efraín Arias joined the Mayor’s Office of Human Services as Director of Strategy and Partnerships in November 2022. In this role, he is excited to develop partnerships to ensure the Human Services Cabinet reduces barriers residents face in accessing high-quality services throughout the city.  Efraín brings over twelve years of experience in the non-profit and government sectors.  He has extensive experience building programs and coalitions to develop equitable access to social services and opportunities for all residents. Most recently, Efrain served as the Program Director for the Neighborhood Trauma Team at the Boston Public Health Commission.

He currently resides in Dorchester. When not working or volunteering for his community, he likes to spend time with his family, watch the Red Sox and Celtics, and travel.  In 2010, Efraín earned his Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College. Efrain is passionate about immigrant rights, poverty, community violence, positive youth development, and food access.
