Fitness, Wellness, and Educational Community Events for July

This month, we look at Boston’s wealth of summer activities.

This July, we wanted to take an opportunity to highlight the many options available to make the most of your summer, with a focus on health and fitness.   Self-care can come in many forms, from continuous regular exercise, to learning new skills, expanding your knowledge, or enjoying some live music.  We find that having rewarding experiences to look forward to helps enormously in tackling other self-care and life goals. We wanted to highlight some helpful free and paid event lists below, and invite you to explore them:

  • Boston Parks and Recreation’s Fitness Series is a strong free fitness activity for anyone, with daily virtual groups and weekly in person groups scheduled through September 2nd!  Click the link to find out more.
  • This regularly updated list of summer learning programs for children and adults is searchable by area, explore to see what options may be available today.
  • Linked here is Eventbrite’s list of free sports and fitness events in the Boston area.
  • Boston Central.com also features a page that offers more fitness events to explore for kids and families alike.
  • The Boston Public Library continues to maintain an ongoing calendar of educational and community celebration events they host for people of all ages, including many summer series.
  • This list of free and paid summer concerts features numerous different local venues and musical genres, and it is an excellent way to experience incredible live music in the community with friends and family.
  • The Boston Discovery Guide offers this list of major Boston events in July, including harbor cruises, concerts, and more

From all of us here at the EAP, have a restful July.
