Genesis Pimentel

Commemoration Commission Manager

Genesis Pimentel joins the Office of Historic Preservation to serve as the new Commemoration Commission Manager.

Genesis received her Bachelor's in American Studies with a concentration in Literary Studies and a minor in Caribbean Studies from Wesleyan University. She was a Mellon Mays Research Fellow, in which her research focused on the importance of reframing historical narratives using alternate archives based on orality and performance. She continues to be invested in the intersection between culture, media, and historicity. 

Genesis was born and raised in Boston, and she lives in Roxbury.
