Vote 1: CONTRACTS TO VARIOUS DESIGNERS: To provide design review consulting services for capital construction projects involving engineering disciplines to be performed on an as-needed-basis
That the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to request from the Mayor, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, written authority to award contracts, pursuant to a publicly advertised request for qualifications under M.G.L. c.7C, sections 44-57 with advertisements appearing in the Boston Globe and City Record on August 8, 2016 and Central Register on August 10, 2016, for Fiscal Years 2016 through 2018, for design review consulting services for capital construction projects involving engineering disciplines to be performed on an as-needed-basis. Services include review of projects in all phases, including planning, design, construction and operation.

The Director is, also, authorized to execute such contracts, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.

Vote 2: AMENDMENT TO THE VOTE OF MARCH 7, 2014: Regarding a contract with Next Phase Studios, Inc. for architectural design and construction administration services associated with the project at Engine No. 5 in East Boston.
Increase of $109,525 and Time Extension and Project Name Change
That the vote of this Commission at its meeting of March 7, 2014, and, thereafter, amended by a no vote request for money on September 11, 2015, regarding a contract with Next Phase Studios, Inc., for architectural design and construction administration services associated with the project at Engine No. 5 in East Boston;
be, and hereby is, amended as follows:
By deleting the following words and figures: “December 4, 2017, at a cost not to exceed $155,603.00 including $50,603.00 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 7.25% based on an estimated construction cost of $1,450,000.00” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figures: “April 28, 2018, at a cost not to exceed $265,128.00, including $43,275.00 for additional services, which is a fixed fee of 10% based on an estimated construction cost of $1,712,508.00” and further;
By deleting the following words and figure: “the building envelope repairs project at Engine No. 5 in East Boston” and substituting in place thereof the following words and figure: “the Engine No. 5 Envelope Repairs and Slab Replacement project” and further;
The Director is also authorized to execute such amendment, in the name and on behalf of the Commission, upon receipt of said written authority from the Mayor.
