Learn how to repair your bike or just get tuned up. Community groups across Boston will repair your bike at no cost, or show you how to do it yourself. Bike shops are also available if you need to buy parts or get your bike repaired.
Boston Bikes Workshops
The City of Boston offers free bike repair workshops across the City. Everyone is welcome to join these hands-on workshops and learn the basics of fixing a bike.
At these workshops, we cover basic bike repair. This includes:
- patching flat tires,
- aligning brakes, and
- adjusting gears and shifters.

Bikes Not Bombs
Bike not Bombs offers programs and services for youth and adults. These include Bike Institute, Earn-a-Bike, Sisters in Action, Youth Bike-In, and Bike Clinics.

DORCHESTER BIKE KITCHEN
Dorchester Bike Kitchen (DBK) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run bike repair space in Fields Corner, just steps away from the Red Line station. You'll find tools, bike parts, and friendly volunteers to help you fix or build a bike. On Monday evenings, St. Louis, the City's bike mechanic and instructor, offers his expert guidance.

Commonwheels
CommonWheels is an Allston-Brighton based bicycle collective. They offer youth and adult Earn-a-Bike programs and free, DIY, bike-maintenance skill-share. Check their Calendar, Facebook, and Twitter for more details.

Femmechanics
