Kayci Resende-Abbott
Kayci Resende-Abbott (she/her/hers) is a rising Senior at Suffolk University. She is currently completing her undergraduate degree with a major in Philosophy and double minors in Black Studies and Women & Gender Studies. During her tenure at Suffolk University, she has been a Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant Coordinator, President of her Black Student Union, and Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Her love for education started during high school in which she would be her teacher’s helper and help with classroom management. Her desire to educate and help others reigns true throughout her professional and leadership career; with a passion for joining Higher Education through an administrative role.
For the 2024 summer. Kayci is a youth fellow for the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement. She is melding her passion for education and advocacy by helping her office build community with LGBTQ+ organizations and residents in Boston. She is currently managing the social media campaign for MOLA, as well as creating education initiatives alongside education institutions around the greater Boston area.
