Maya Bravo
Maya Bravo (she/her) is a passionate youth advocate with a special commitment to creating empowering spaces for historically marginalized individuals. Since moving to Boston in 2020, Maya Bravo has held people-facing roles at Boston Housing Authority, Northeastern University, and the Commonwealth Corporation.
Maya also holds a BA in Communication Studies and Sociology from Northeastern, with minors in Psychology and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. During her time at Northeastern, she earned leadership roles in multiple on-campus groups and became founding president of the first LGBTQIA+ and Latine affinity space.
The proud daughter of long-time city and federal government staff, Maya is eager to make contributions to the Office of Youth Engagement and Advancement (OYEA) as Communications and Outreach Manager. In this role, she designs powerful graphic and photo content to connect young Bostonians with essential resources via social media, newsletters, and our website.
In her free time, Maya enjoys making jewelry, performing stand-up comedy, bouldering in South Boston, and visiting the city's many pop-up art markets.
