Project Overview

Go Boston 2030 is the City’s transportation plan. It is a roadmap for achieving ambitious safety, access, climate, and equity goals. The plan has two parts:

A VISION

Goals and targets that ensure residents have excellent and equitable transportation choices in the future. The transportation system will support the economy and public health in a changing climate.

AN ACTION PLAN

A list of transformative policies and projects, resulting from a broad-reaching community engagement process.

Go Boston 2030 has three components

Are we making progress_cir

Are We Making Progress? // Updated Data and Metrics
The plan’s targets include improving safety, expanding access, and reducing emissions. Go Boston 2030 ReVisioned will create a webpage where we’ll report annually on our progress.

Are we investing_cir

Are We Investing in our Future? // Project Evaluation and Identification
Some Go Boston 2030 projects are complete, some are still in design, and some have yet to start. Go Boston 2030 ReVisioned will track existing projects and identify new ones that advance our goals.

Are we meeting the needs_cir

Are We Meeting Bostonians’ Needs? // Focused Community Engagement
Two years of city-wide community engagement informed Go Boston 2030. Go Boston 2030 ReVisioned will conduct focused community engagement to reach underrepresented communities.

Putting our Action Plan Projects in place

We've already started work on projects and policies listed in the Go Boston 2030 Action Plan. We are implementing early action projects and designing for longer-term initiatives. More than half of the 58 projects in the Action Plan are underway. These projects were developed from the more than 3,700 ideas submitted during our public outreach effort.
